Telco's: Your Customers And Their Facebook Via YOUR NETWORK Will Be Rockin' This Super Bowl

Posted on February 03, 2012

As Chaz Tayor helps Telcos build upon the future of TV- local commerce, we are monitoring the patterns of TV's big events in new ways.  If you don't know about Shazam- you'll want to.  The small Telco networks can begin to get smart about local business markets and ways to use local ad insertions to pre-sale items that tie to events like the Super Bowl.  Why pre-game day sales strategies for your LOCAL BUSINESSES?  Because just as many items may be purchased before the game than perhaps during the game or following.  Local shirts bought locally, local paper cups, coupons for popcorn. Let us help you think of ways your local market through your TV channel can launch creative sales effects.

Interested in ways to tie your TV fans to your local market? Let us know you want on the list for a webinar about attracting local ads at bigger levels RIGHT ON YOUR LOCAL CHANNELS!! Click here to contact us.

This Client Wanted A Hot Weather Attraction To Wisconsin Winter Bundles

Posted on February 01, 2012

Direct mail can be mailed cost effectively if designed as a flat (find out about new postal standards). We designed this marketing offer so only one transparent sticker had to be applied to hold the fold! It's a product savings portfolio that can be read without reading glasses and makes it
clear from the start that money is what's on the customer's mind.  Saving
money!

Customers don't believe Telcos really want to save them money- or at least not be aggressive about it.  Wrong here!

Timing: This bundles offer arrived before Christmas and during a snow fall. Customers were buying technology online, kids were dreaming of the latest box to connect with and mom was adding up the charge card receipts.

Result:  A savings solution! Just in time!

Chaz Images:  Contact us if you're looking for the perfect direct mail design.  {...}

This Ad Has The Perfect Font!

Posted on January 30, 2012

Fonts can determine if your ad gets attention!  Fonts can be more essential to design than an image (photo)!  Because fonts become the personality of the message consider: the color of application, shape and contrast with the page or live space area.

Font Acceptance:  You have selected the right font if your ad appears to be
talking to you! No voice..No ad!!

Value Added Broadband/ Chaz Taylor's "Broadband Vision" Product In OPASTCO's Latest Industry Magazine (now the world knows!)

Posted on January 17, 2012

What kind of word is 'broadband'?  Did it originate in the space program?  Maybe it is part of Dr. Seuss's vocabulary when he was considering the names of gadgets in his million dollar stories?  Will it feel as useful as the work Post-it-Notes can do? Maybe it represents what spectrum is to the power of fire? {...}

Yes, FCC It's Time To Stress The Importance Of Decency

Posted on January 11, 2012

Hey FCC!  Clear up what you mean about decency and how we can save the eyes/minds of our children. Too much they can see on TV is out of bounds, and we stress the need to put ethics in what the public can see on channels that any child can spend time watching.  Ask any teacher who has taught in the primary grades for more than eight years and they will tell you that a wrongful, indecent, brutal vocabulary is emerging as well as what kids are bringing into the lunch room that even an adult should not have viewed on television.  Bringing change to innovative academic behavior is about ethics-training, and minds not muddied by indecent acts, language and irresponsible principles.  {...}

This Is A Great Example — Employee (Pro) Powered!

Posted on December 14, 2011

Local brand often does not "look local" in many of the client projects we are asked to clarify in design and content. "Local is as Local does!"  So what can have more brand and not seem hokie, old school or down right fluff that no customer will find interesting or engaging?

Here's a terrific brand demo of how to place a team in the spirit of service with more than flair- this draws in the flavor of the product in more ways than packaging!

We want to introduce you to the Lean Cusine Roundtable- on the back of our favorite, healthy super-quick and tasty dish, Orange Chicken. You can see the photo of invited chefs (see this as an employee photo concept of your IPTV experts) and then be prompted to go the the 1-800 "Good To Talk Line"
or online to touch base.  And a great placement of the go-to point!  They name the pros, and with it show their fans/customers that Lean Cuisine is always looking to provide the best solutions for the meals we reach for both for budget and our lunch time.

It will interest you that they have tapped into what we share in design theory about proudly using all your live area as talking real estate.  If you want your customers to know more- show them that your print is more than a headline ad.  Another thing, they break the rules of reversing text out of
black with a smaller point size-  they also draw you into a sleek and 'telling' market-view.

Facebook Plays To The Immediate Cell Phone App User And Deep 'Social Buff' -- Applying The Ultimate 'TIMING' Rule!

Posted on November 22, 2011

Even if "Buffy" is a name no adult over 25 would take to- Facebook has chosen to play the market rule of perfect timing (a lesson for the independent Telco industry).  The holiday season is possibly the deal maker for the wireless industry, and Facebook's "Buffy" has thrown a curve into the mix of a huge number of folks who may not re-up for a new phone and extended deal now that their contract is coming up because they see Facebook activity as their all-out source for what they want their connected world to be! {...}

Online Video Insights From A Recent Webinar With Peter Shankman, of Help A Reporter Out

Posted on August 19, 2011

Creating a video that explains a process or answers your customers' questions can save your business time on the phone with customers. Our lightbulb idea:  Have an employee challenge to get their recommendation on videos you can put on your website that could reduce time explaining things to customers. Customers are often your best advertisers, why not give them a video cam and let them tell your story for you. Our lightbulb idea:  This would be great as telcos look to tell the story of broadband in their communities. Ask the customers to do it for you! {...}

When Do You Really Want To Stop And Take Time To Interact With A QR?

Posted on August 19, 2011

Well, a friend has recently sent me a subscription to "Woman's Day." I am a first time reader (maybe at the DR's office previously). She assures me that she has found some of her favorite and affordable products in its pages, and almost every product she has recommended I've checked out!! (enough about me) Now, back to QR's and you clients that have us working on your "Pink Audience" tech-reach-out points with technology: Here's a QR that I stopped what I was doing (on a Saturday afternoon) and gave it some attention!!! Believe it or not- more than 100 people had already sent in their ideas, so I did not qualify, even though I wasted no time to respond to the publication I had just gotten from my mailbox. After all, this was the September publication that was not even out on the stands yet!! {...}

Google Has It Sewn Up When It Comes To Creating Demand

Posted on August 18, 2011

Let's face it, what telco wouldn't want customers "hitting their site," sending out pleas to friends, begging for an invitation to try their product? Google's recent introduction of Google with "by invitation only" exclusivity has certainly created the buzz we all dream of. While it's not a new concept, Google and others have used it before, it's certainly one worth noting in IPTV or fiber to the home intros. It proves that it's okay to unveil a product even before all your customers can get it -- in fact, it may even make it more interestings. People just want what they can't have.
